Hello, this is UniAuction.

We have been receiving an increasing number of customer inquiries regarding customs clearance delays for shipments that arrived between 4/15 and 4/19 last week.
We have already requested expedited release from both customs clearance and customs brokerage on our side.
(Shipments other than the above are being released normally.)

* Some delayed shipments were processed and released as of yesterday, and some are also scheduled for release today.

When we asked about the delay, we were informed that last Wednesday's holiday backlog came in all at once, and Saturday was a day off for the customs broker, while customs inspections were also particularly strict that week, causing some delays in processing such as supplementing import declarations.

Since declarations are currently backlogged, we have asked the customs clearance agency to assign one additional customs broker, and for shipments undergoing simplified customs clearance, we have requested immediate release by having UniAuction cover the prepayment burden on our side. (Among the items currently on hold, there are many simplified-clearance cases.)

Simplified customs clearance is a method of explaining shipments as for personal use through a customs broker when there are many of the same item or when the weight is 8kg to 10kg or more.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the unexpected customs delay, and we will do our best to have the delayed shipments released as soon as possible, preferably within today or by Monday.
