[U.S.][Please Read] Notice on COVID-19 Response Operations at the New Jersey and Delaware Centers
2020-03-23
안녕하세요
Since the first confirmed COVID-19 case in New Jersey, U.S., we have been providing masks to employees, disinfecting the inside of trucks after operations, and supplying hand sanitizer to each employee so they can disinfect frequently.
We are paying close attention to the safety of our employees and to the cargo they handle.
As reported in the news every day, due to COVID-19, New York in the U.S. (JFK Airport is also located in New York) has been declared a disaster area, and shutdown orders for non-essential businesses have gone into effect in LA, New York, and New Jersey by state governments.
Although New Jersey has also issued a shutdown order, we are able to continue operations and must do so in accordance with the state government’s guidelines.
Until further notice from the New Jersey state government
- Only essential personnel of 10 people or fewer may work
- It is mandatory to work while maintaining a distance of at least 1.8m between employees, and violations may result in fines and closure of the business
- After 8:00 PM, outings are prohibited except for non-essential matters
As a result, unavoidable operational restrictions compared with our normal work will likely cause delays.
For smooth operations at the New Jersey branch, please refer to the following:
- Delaware cargo will continue to be transferred to New Jersey as usual, but a one-day additional delay is expected to continue.
- Due to limited airport operations and orders to operate with limited personnel, fewer employees are working at the airport, so we need to arrive there as quickly as possible.
To meet the airport cut-off, there may not be enough working time to hand over all cargo to the airport on the same day, and cargo that cannot be loaded that day will be worked on first the following day and delivered to the airport 100%. A delay of about one day may inevitably occur.
Please note that due to limited conditions such as staffing levels and social distancing, scheduled outbound cargo may be delayed because of insufficient working time, and we kindly ask for your understanding.
Although there are state-level operational restrictions, we will focus as much as possible on our work and do our best to minimize delays.
Thank you.
