[US] Delaware cargo transfer unavailable due to snowstorm on February 18

2021-02-19
Hello.

We would like to inform you that cargo transfer to Delaware is unavailable due to the snowstorm on February 18.

A heavy snow advisory is in effect across the eastern United States, including New Jersey and Delaware. In Delaware, a mix of snow and rain has caused roads to freeze, making truck operations difficult today and preventing cargo transfer from Delaware to New Jersey. Delaware staff are also having difficulty commuting, and only a small number of staff will be available to handle USPS pickup and inbound scanning. Unlike densely populated New Jersey, snow removal in Delaware will take time, so road conditions are expected to remain poor for about 1 to 2 days.

US domestic carrier FEDEX has already informed us that delivery to the Delaware branch is not possible today, and most carriers have advised that deliveries will be significantly delayed or will not proceed today. In the case of USPS, pickup and inbound scanning will continue, but those shipments are expected to be transferred on the 19th together with the shipments received on the 19th.

Please note that additional delays may occur as two days’ worth of cargo has accumulated.
